Cedros Avenue Halloween Happenings
Halloween is around the corner, and Cedros Avenue has some exciting festivities lined up! Take a look at what we have in store, and you’re bound to find just what you need to bring out that holiday or seasonal spirit!
Dead Man’s Party and Halloween Heat — BellyUp Tavern
Here are two events where you’ll need to get your A-game costume ready and bring your dancing shoes! At the BellyUp Tavern, you’ve
got more than one Halloween-themed party to choose from. On Friday night, start your weekend off with the Atomic Groove Halloween Bash Happy Hour. This group of performers gets everyone on the dance floor with songs from the 60s as well as some modern hit covers. After warming up with Atomic Groove, continue dancing and enjoying your time with the talented Oingo Boingo tribute band, Dead Man’s Party!
On Halloween evening, the BellyUp will be keeping the holiday party going with “Halloween Heat,” featuring DJ Chris Cote and special guest Velours Rogue Burlesque. For this event, you’ll want your best costume on because there is a costume contest with prizes and all!
Halloween Dog Costume Contest — Culture Brewing Co.
Everyone loves a good Halloween costume contest. Some people may even take these opportunities to a whole new level of intensity, creativity, or pure humor! This year, Culture Brewing Co. decided to switch up the excitement by featuring our favorite furry friends as the costume competitors. Yes, that’s right, Culture is looking for the best dressed Halloween pup!
This particular event is not only held at Culture Brewing Co. on Monday the 31st, but it is also via social media. So you’ve got two options to enter your dog into the contest: 1) Head over on Sunday with your dressed up pup, grab a beer, and join in on the crowd of Halloween canines; 2) Take a picture of your dressed up pup and share it on social media with the appropriate hashtags (#CultureCostumeContestSB, #cccSB for Solana Beach; #CultureCostumeContestOB, #cccOB for Ocean Beach)… there’s still time! Winners will be announced and prizes will be given out on the 30th. We can’t wait to see what you guys come up with! Good luck!
HalloWINE Party — Carruth Cellars
On Halloween evening, Carruth Cellars will be hosting their usual Vinyl Monday with a special edition Halloween twist. Join in on the HalloWINE party, where DJ Thierry will be spinning your favorite 80s and 90s jams! It’s highly encouraged to dress up in costumes, but they’re more concerned about everyone having a good time and enjoying some wine! If you want to go all out, you can even dress up your pups and bring them along as well!
Keep in mind that neither of the events at Culture and Carruth requires an entrance fee — for those of you who want to save a few bucks without missing the Halloween fun!
If Halloween isn’t quite your favorite holiday, you may want to check out these alternative fall happenings on Cedros Avenue! Lofty Coffee Co has announced that they will soon be serving a new fall drink with brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. If reading about it doesn’t warm your belly, you just may have to stop in and give it a try! On the fashion side of things, Cedros Soles has stepped up their fall fashion game with new arrivals and styles. As for home design, Halloween and fall decorations — perfect for sprucing up your home for the holidays — can be found throughout a number of shops on Cedros! We sure love the holiday seasons!
